Cute cafe on the corner of Concord Ave and Corporal Burns, near the Fresh Pond Parkway and Danehy Park. The almond croissant is shaped like a circle (full moon vs crescent!) but still has the flaky, crispy exterior and soft buttery interior, mildly sweet, highly craveable - all hallmarks of a successful pastry! Coffee is small but satisfying. Great spot for parents waiting out their kids' soccer practice at Danehy, there is some outdoor seating as well as a couple of enclosed domes for cooler days. Staff is always friendly and cheerful. They also sell jams and ground coffee - great gift grab ideas.

What we ate/drank: Feta Za'atar Scone, Tomato Gorgonzola Scone, Marzipan Orange Scone, Pesto Gruyere Scone, Pizza Would recommend? Yes, strongly We've been to La Saison Bakery many times, and each visit has been a treat. We've tried all the scones, and they've never disappointed. The Feta Za'atar scone strikes the perfect balance of savory richness and herby warmth, while the Tomato Gorgonzola scone is beautifully tangy with layers of flavor. The Marzipan Orange scone is not too sweet, and the Pesto Gruyere scone is rich and cheesy with an herby finish. Each scone has a light, fluffy, buttery crumb with just the right amount of soft flakiness (especially when lightly reheated). The pizza, which is more of a dressed focaccia, is also a winner. The base is tender and slightly chewy with a golden, crispy edge, and it's topped with rotating, fresh ingredients that make every bite flavorful. It's simple yet satisfying, with a great topping:crust ratio. La Saison is cozy but the outdoor seating makes it the perfect spot to enjoy these incredible baked goods or grab a quick bite. It's our go-to for scones and treats.

One of my all time favorite bakeries around Boston. Their matcha is unmatched and their sweets and sandwiches are a must. There are only a handful of seats outside, though I will keep wishing they will have indoor seating one day as it is cramped inside and the line is often out the door. Nonetheless a pit stop for every time I'm craving good matcha and a sweet treat.

Not a huge variety of pastries, but the French Croissant (4.70$) and Chocolate-Hazelnut Souffle Cake (5$) were both pretty good. The croissant was distinctly buttery and crisp on the outside, and the cake was lightly sweet and fluffy. The cake was probably not to everyone's taste, as it was pretty mild and dry, but that's what I prefer!

La Saison is my second closest neighborhood bakery, aside from Iggy's. There is almost always a line here because it's SO popular, regardless of the time of day. I am a fan of the breakfast egg sandwich, but they also have a variety of pastries, breads, sandwiches, and drinks--including a matcha latte, which you can customize with different types of milk. The menu is seasonal, so keep in mind that any one item may not be available forever. There is no indoor seating space but they have outdoor tables, os this is a great place to come on a nice day, although folks will also be huddled outside during the winter as well. Very local feel here as well!

I love la saison so much and have been loving it before the long weekend lines! They have everything from cakes to eclairs to pizza and sandwiches, breakfast sandwiches, soft serve, soup, you name it. They are rotating, so if you see something you like, definitely get it! The space is quite small so be prepared for that. I love to get their sourdough flatbreads and breakfast sandwiches. 10/10 would recommend!

Such a nice spot to grab a pastry on a sunny day! The workers were patient and friendly as well. I enjoyed the scone- the marzipan flavor wasn't overpowering and paired nicely with the orange essence. The chai in the cookie was strong and both cookies were gooey with chocolate- delicious! The drink wasn't for me- it was hard to mix the syrup which led to the drink tasting so strongly of pistachio towards the end, so if you prefer more subtle flavorings then maybe pick another! I would love to come back to try some of their savory options. It is a smaller space inside so can get crowded - but worth trying their pastries for sure!

I came here after a week long conference in nearby Waltham to try their gluten free Hazelnut Cookie, while the Kouign Amman and chocolate croissants are recommended in the neighboring areas of Somerville and north Cambridge, and the Pain aux Raisins that I got to share later. The Persian touches including the rug on the floor and the Thursday noon Barbaris bread along with the variety of coffee creations evoke an ethnic vibe. Jackie, the girl at the front addressed everyone by name and was very friendly. Outside, there are tables and an igloo.
